The client is from Macau. Their business focuses on helping their clients to do the maintenance of gaming machines like slot machines in casinos. They have been involved in casino-equipment-related business for more than 20 years. They also do business related to gaming equipment rental and supply. Recently they made an order of a set sheet metal parts from us.
Top One Tech had supplied the client touch display products before. The customer made their first order from us at the beginning of 2023. It was a batch of touch monitors. We mainly provided them with the touch display (used on slot machines) customized solutions, production and technical support. The customer is very satisfied with the quality of our touch monitors and the related pre-sales, in-sales and after-sales services we provide. After knowing the sheet metal business line establishment of Top One Tech, they showed interest to cooperate with us in hardware field. It happened that the customer were looking for a supplier for their gaming machine aluminum alloy parts.
The customer told us that they had previously contacted and evaluated many factories and suppliers, they all gave the same evaluation result that mold was required for making the metal part they needed. Because the product is a one-piece aluminum alloy die-casting part, the cost of mold will be very high.
Based on mutual trust during cooperation, we invited the customer to visit our sheet metal factory so that the customers have a more intuitive understanding and deeper trust of our production and processing capabilities of sheet metal products. We provide customers with preliminary assessments based on the samples provided by customers. We proposed to switch the original one-piece aluminum alloy die-casting to sheet metal parts, and make a final product same with the customer’s sample through the welding process, which will greatly reduce costs.
During the communication and assessment process, we went to Macau many times to communicate and solve problems with customers in person. After many discussions and adjustments, we provided customers with detailed quotations and production plans.
Key problems solved during the process of discussion and solution formation
About the sample structure: During the discussion process, we found the problem of mold opening about model groove is the biggest challenge. Considering the cost and the feasibility of installation, we modified the grooves based on the functions and scenarios after communicating with the customers. The customers agreed with our proposal with satisfaction
About materials: We provided two options for customers to choose from (we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of two different materials (iron and aluminum) and their costs respectively for customers). In the end, the customer chose the aluminum one based on two samples we made.
About spraying: Because the client required the spraying process for the sample, they sent us a color plate sample. In order to ensure that it is as close as to the customer’s color plate, we provided multiple spraying samples for the customer to select. After receiving the sample sent from us, the customer replied “You have exceeded our expectations. I didn’t expect you to make so many color plates for us!” The customer was moved by our carefulness and responsibility.
At the end of 2023, the samples were all successfully delivered to the customer. The customer was very satisfied with our samples. At the very beginning of 2024, the customer ordered a batch of 150 sets. We are really grateful for their trust and support and we hope their business will make great progress in 2024!
